Ready Set Dance

Classes Running 6
Days A Week!

Balance bean bags, sing on the microphone, walk like a dinosaur, catch frozen snowflakes, learn to skip, show us your hip hop moves, hold your yoga pose, and join in the puppet show at READY SET DANCE!

This class is a one hour combo class that includes jazz, tap, hip hop, singing, music and a whole lot of fun.

Jazz is the most popular style of dance at most dance studios as it uses current music that kids enjoy. Our jazz component uses age appropriate versions of songs like ‘Shake it off’ and ‘Roar’ to start learning basic steps and combinations.

TAP – READY SET DANCE schools are very strong tap schools. We know that the secret to learning tap is to start early. It’s just like learning a language. Our songs like the ‘Gumboot Splash’ and the ‘Puddly Duck Tap Warm Up’ are fun exercises that teach us how to use our heels, toes and to learn how to shuffle.

HIP HOP – There is no denying that preschoolers these days are cool. They love to bust out hip hop moves. We have developed our very own hip hop combinations like ‘The Pancake Flip’ to teach our students how to get their own groove happening. Our mascot ‘Freeze’ has some very cool songs as well, songs that boys in particular really enjoy.

MUSIC – Our content has a strong emphasis on counting music, understanding tempo and exploring rhythm. We love to use musical instruments and parachutes to have fun learning music as a team.

SINGING – Each lesson involves singing time on the mat. Our little divas and rock stars just love to take their turn on their microphone and sing with their puppets. It’s very rewarding to see some of our shy students gradually gain confidence and sing individually on the microphone and introduce themselves to the class.

Clients Say

“My daughter started VCE dance this year and loves it. Hannah the teacher is AMAZING. Despite having a baby this year and the headache of teaching during COVID, Hannah has always been available to support and encourage Georgia with the bookwork as well as the practical work. Can not recommend this program highly enough

Ms Neilson

“2nd year of VCE Dance with Reflections and has been amazing! Hannah with the studio’s support have delivered an exceptional high quality program with so much care especially this year with all the obstacles that have been thrown at these kids. Anyone considering should have no hesitation!

Ms Szabo

“I undertook VCE Dance at Reflections with Hannah in 2017 and 2018 and I cannot recommend more highly! My experience was nothing but amazing and I enjoyed every part of it. I am not formally a dancer but come from a calisthenics background and so Hannah helped me explore movement out of my comfort zone both privately and in a group setting.

My theory work was enjoyable and very well supported by Hannah and I was able to receive as much feedback and help that I needed after the extra effort and practice I had put in completing sets of practice questions and exams. The dynamic created between both year levels when combined I found was a great system for students to look up to those one year ahead of them and ask the all important questions about any advice they could offer. I loved being able to mentor the year eleven students and help them during the start of their VCE Dance journey. To me, attending my weekly class was something I very much looked forward to. Reflections created a family feeling amongst the other students in my class as well as external teachers and students that attended Reflections. I have made lifelong friendships with other students and cannot be more grateful for Hannah and everything that she did for not only myself but what she continues to do with all of her students.”
